I hate having to attend early morning meetings. It’s not the meeting, per se, but the fact I have to be at work an hour earlier than usual. I don’t wake up any earlier but I miss the time I have in the mornings to collect my thoughts. That seems to throw my entire day off.
But there are always silver linings in every cloud. If I hadn’t been on the road earlier, I would have missed a beautiful sunrise. The photo doesn’t do it justice, and it’s a little blurry, but you get the picture. (No pun intended.)
It’s been a busy week at the day job, and I’m looking forward to the weekend. But for now, here are this week’s writing links:

Beautiful sunrise. I don’t get to see many of those )
I love sunrises and sunsets. Haven’t been able to see too many of either one lately, so that was a nice moment.
I adore that sunrise, Joan. Have a great weekend 🙂
It was a bright spot to my morning. Hope you have a wonderful weekend as well.
Lovely picture, but I know what you mean, my pix of sunrises and sunsets are never as good as the real thing – a good reason to get up early and se the real thing.
I have taken some decent ones with my Nikon SLR digital but you’re right. There’s nothing like the real thing. This one through the windshield of the car while traveling down the interstate wasn’t ideal but I at least captured the moment.
I’m usually out the door before sunrise, but this time of year I get to enjoy them.
That happens to me also during the winter months. On a positive note, I had one of those early meetings last winter on the day of the Super Blue Moon eclipse. (Boy that’s a mouthful!)
That’s cool. I saw one of those big meteors that wound up landing in Canada somewhere once.
Wow, I’ll be that was a site to see. My mom saw one when she was a child. It landed in Oklahoma.
That’s a gorgeous photo, Joan. There is something about early mornings that makes everything seem pure and new. Dawn and dusk are my two favorite times of the day, though I don’t often get to see the sun rise. Wishing you a great weekend!
Those are my favorite times also. And I love to watch the pattern of sunrises, how the sun rises farther to the south as we near fall and winter, and vice-versa in the summer. Hope you have a fun-filled weekend!
That’s a beautiful photo, Joan. The beauty of dawn and dusk never ceases to take my breath away. Such a simple thing, light through water molecules in the air. Yet each one is different and every one is lovely. So glad you shared it (even if you had to be on the road early to do so).
Hope the meeting went well. Thanks for the links, and happy weekend!
Staci, it probably won’t surprise you that I love sunrises and sunsets. As you say, each one is unique. The meeting was fine – short and sweet. At least they’re never boring! Have a wonderful weekend!
No surprise at all. 🙂
I know what you mean. I’m a routine person especially in the morning. If I’m thrown off by anything my day is a little out of whack.
We do tend to become creatures of habit, don’t we? Thanks so much for stopping by, Bryan!
I also got some lovely early morning pictures last week, Joan.
Robbie, to me there’s nothing like a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Nice to be able to capture the moments in photos.
The wee one has been waking us up at the crack of dawn for the past couple of months. I kinda hate dawn now, no matter how pretty those damn colors are 😀
Thanks for the great selection and for including me here 🙂
I understand, Nicholas. I have a cat that thinks I need to wake up at 5:00 a.m. no matter what day of the week it is.
Glad you enjoyed the links, and thank you for always having great content!
Ours wakes us up around 2-3 am if we forget him outside, to demand he’s let in. Sigh…
