Hey, everyone. I’m still on a limited (and sporadic) blogging schedule this month. I hadn’t planned to post today, but early this morning (or before midnight depending on what time zone you’re in) a special event occurred.
Yes, it’s a full moon. But this one is significant. It’s the last full moon of this decade. And if you live in the Eastern time zone, the moon became full at 12:12 on 12/12. How cool is that?
If you don’t already know it, I’m fascinated by the phases of the moon. Full moons (or the moon in general) play a significant role in my upcoming Legends of Madeira series. Next year, I plan to do a monthly post about each of the twelve full moons and tell you a bit about their Native American names. BTW, we get a bonus as there are thirteen full moons in 2020.
For now, I’ll leave you with a song and a video.

Happy full moon, Joan:) Can’t see ours but can sure feel it.
Thanks, Denise. It was beautiful!
Great photo and great song too! I love when numbers align like that. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks, Harmony. I love that song!
The full moon popped through our bedroom window some time last night and woke us all up (including the cats, who went nuts). It was pretty, but it sure was bright.
Ours too. Fortunately the cats were too warm and cozy (in our bed) to act up. They often do during full moons.
The moon last night was AMAZING!! I was riveted and try to capture a few photos, but they didn’t come out. The photo you posted is gorgeous.
I’ll be looking forward to your moon posts. I’m fascinated by moon folklore as well.
I think fascination with the moon runs in my family. We’ve been known to plan trips and vacations around them.
P.S….I forgot to mention, I love that Seger song!
It’s a great one.
No moon for me. It’s raining in Boise, and we need it.
We got much needed rain on Tuesday. I’d take that over the moon when it’s been dry.
It is such a special full moon and to celebrate, I am going to a noon Tarot and Tea at Psychic, Marveena Meek’s ranch! Can’t wait!
Ooh. Enjoy!
This really is cool, Joan. A great picture.
Thanks, Robbie. I’m still trying to get that “perfect” moon shot. Took this one with my iPhone.
