Hey, everyone. I’m super excited today to share my review of the latest book in the Astral Conspiracy series by D. L. Cross.
I’m not a big science fiction fan, but this author has changed my mind!

My Review:
D L Cross has another winner on her hand with The Stones, the second book of her Astral Conspiracy series. The story picks up where The Gate left off.
Landon Thorne discovers a new weapon that could defend the world but several groups want to stop him. The government, rogue agents, aliens. He embarks on a journey to the Georgia Guidestones where he finds what could be the key to survival.
The action is fast-paced. Every chapter is a cliffhanger that keeps you wanting to know more.
The characters are three dimensional—from a power-hungry AATIP agent to a priest who believes he’s been placed on earth to save people from the end times. Not to mention the bazaar aliens.
Cross has a unique way of bringing depth to the characters in what is usually a plot-driven genre.
I highly recommend this book and yes, I’m already reading the third of the series, The Nine.

I’m part way through this one and enjoying the heck out of it. I’ve been so busy I can’t dedicate a lot of time, so it takes me a while to finish it. Good to know it left that kind of impression.
I know that feeling of busyness, Craig. Most of my reading time is during lunch. Guess that’s one advantage of not gathering in the breakroom and social distancing in my office. 🙂
I’ve done that, too, but I only get 30 minutes. Makes it kind of hard, but I might have to go back to that.

I loved The Stones, too. Still worried about the woman who got her foot stuck in a hole. Who found her? Creepy… Was amazed Staci could make such deep characters when the story was so action packed. Great writing!
She did an amazing job with the characters. And yes, poor Bristol! Hoping things turn out okay for her.

This series has something for everyone. There’s the sci-fi element mixing with literature, along with breath-stealing suspense, and even romance. Excellent review, Joan!

Catching up with some blogs tonight, and so glad I stopped by here, Joan. Excellent review, and I can’t wait to do some binge reading of these books, myself. I loved the first one, and the shorter one, but I want to go back and re-read from the start and plow straight through. I really enjoy doing that when a series is already out, and I suspect it’s an approach that will work well with this one. I’m thinking Staci has a real winner with these, and they are coming up fast for me!
