Hey, everyone. I can’t believe the last time I posted anything other than having a guest was in January. Where does time go?
First of all, I’d like to update you on my cancer journey. The tumor has shrunk to almost half the size it originally was and my cancer antigen has decreased. Some of you have followed my journey on Caring Bridge, but I rarely post more than once a month. Anyhow, I’m feeling great, and the femur has healed completely.
Now, for the “big” news. After almost a year, I’m doing the final edits of Blood Red Dawn, the second full-length novel in my Legends of Madeira series. I plan to publish it on October 30 and hope to have it available for pre-order in the next couple of weeks.
Subscribers to my newsletter have already seen this, but I’m happy to share the cover reveal with you today.

I’m excited to finally get this book finished and published. Even though I haven’t been writing a lot in the past few months, ideas are again churning in my head. I’d debated on writing the third and final Legends novel and had actually decided to end the series with this one. However, last week I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t go back to sleep (a rarity for me). While lying there, I thought of how I wanted to write Edge of Twilight. So, Lord willing, there will be a third Legends book.
I’ll post again when I get the pre-order link, and I apologize for my long absence.

Thanks, Staci. The photo isn’t one of mine, but one I found through Deposit Photos. I had a lot of unused credits. I also changed my website header background. I figured since my tagline is “Character-driven fiction/small town settings,” I needed my sites to reflect that.
